SoundNexus Adaptation Aspects

Concern: Resolution Independence

• Adaptation class: PDA
  • Shorten long texts: Introductory texts on all pages are reduced to the first sentence
  • ToggleText?: Album descriptions are initially reduced to the first sentence, however, the user may toggle between short and full description.
  • Image2Text: All buttons from the navigation bar are transformed into simple text links
  • Vertical Layout: The whole page is changed to a vertical layout, thus overriding the layout of all composite components
  • Horizontal Layout: The navigation links, however, are arranged horizontally to save space
  • Resize Image: The SoundNexus Logo is reduced in size to accomodate the smaller display
  • Remove Component: All album covers on the genres page are removed
  • Remove Component: The video teaser on the album detail page is removed
• Adaptation class: PC
  • Remove Component: The audio-only teaser on the album detail page is removed (leaving the video teaser)

Concern: Internationalisation

• Adaptation class: EN
  • ReplaceComponent?: All texts on the page are replaced by their english variant
  • ReplaceNavigation?: The navigation buttons are replaced by their english variant

Concern: User Interest

• Adaptation class: not applicable
  • FilterQuery?: The query that selects the "favorite" suggestion albums on the homepage is extended to use the user's preferred genre.
  • ApplyCSSClass: All albums of the user's favorite genre are given a highlight on the homepage
  • ApplyCSSClass: All album titles of the user's favorite genre are given an emphasis on the homepage

Concern: Accessibility

• Adaptation class: visualImpairment (currently simulated by screen size)
  • ReplaceStylesheet?: Exchanges the stylesheet with one that is designed for increased contrast
